At Big Bear, it's easy to park out front and collect your equipment. By booking online, our team will be ready to welcome you and will have already selected the skis or snowboards that suit you best. Because sore feet can quickly become hell on the slopes, we'll take the time to find you the right boots... Comfort and warmth are the keys to your well-being on the slopes.
Our team will be on hand to offer you personalised support. We've selected quality, eco-responsible clothing for you, with a complete range of technical garments: ski and snowboard jackets and trousers, light, high-performance second layers and technical underwear to keep you warm on the slopes and in town.
The range also includes lifestyle, streewear and sport chic lines. Our products can be used in the great outdoors, in the city or even by the fire.
When it comes to accessories, we've focused on quality and safety. Whether you're looking for warm, hard-wearing mittens or gloves to brave the elements, hats, neck warmers, hoods and socks for optimum thermal protection, or helmets to keep you safe, you're bound to find what you're looking for at BIG BEAR.

For winter 2023/2024, ski and snowboard hire is guaranteed 100% new equipment. The rental fleet is made up of the season's models, for all downhill skiing and snowboarding activities and in all conditions.
Waiting for your equipment in a queue can be interminable... To avoid this, Big Bear has set up a virtual queue system: register when you arrive and if the wait is too long, relax at the bar or let our team guide you through the shop. The system will let you know when it's your turn.
The quality of our welcome goes hand in hand with customer satisfaction. Our team will welcome you with a smile and with attention to help you make the right choice, whether you're looking for a complete ski or snowboard outfit, a wine tasting session or a selection of rental equipment suited to your level of ability.
In the shop, we wanted to work with environmentally-friendly brands, using recycled products or products from sustainable or carbon-neutral sources.
At the bar, we wanted to favour short circuits and work with local producers. All the draught beers come from local brewers, local farms supply us with cheese and small independent producers supply the charcuterie. The teas and coffees
are all organic and from sustainable and fair-trade production.

Easy access and ideal location: You can collect your equipment easily from the two car parks next to the shop, where you can even recharge your electric vehicle. You can also take advantage of the little village train, which stops right in front of the shop and can drop you off at the gondola or take you on a fascinating tour of the resort.

Samoëns is at the heart of the Grand Massif ski area, with 265km of pistes. From Samoëns, you can reach the resorts of Flaine, Morillon, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval and Les Carroz and enjoy one of the largest ski areas in Europe.
In the village, take a stroll through the typical narrow streets, enjoy the ice rink, visit the botanical garden or hop on the little train for a guided tour. Treat your taste buds to a range of local delicatessens or enjoy a meal in one of the resort's many restaurants.
Cross-country skiers will be delighted by the Nordic areas, either in the valley between Morillon and the cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, depending on the snow conditions, or at the Col de Joux Plane, which is served by the shuttle bus and has an uninterrupted view of Mont Blanc.
Our valley is a fantastic playground, so you can explore it in a fun way by mountain bike or electric fat-bike, but also on snowshoe trails with the help of our many mountain guides.
The more sporty can discover the valley in a different light thanks to ski touring, for moments of intense escape, far from the hustle and bustle of the slopes and as close to nature as possible.
And for total wonder, visit the Fer-à-Cheval site with its hundreds of waterfalls and take a dog-sleigh ride.
